Security First

Synap is designed with security as a foundational principle. Every feature is built to protect your funds while enabling seamless DeFi interactions.

Core Security Principles

Confirmation Required

Every transaction must be explicitly confirmed by you before execution

Delegation Control

Enable or disable delegation at any time with immediate effect

Transaction Transparency

Full details of each transaction shown before execution

No Private Key Access

Synap never accesses your private keys directly

The Confirmation Layer

No transaction executes without your explicit approval.
1

Request

You ask Synap to perform an action
2

Preparation

Synap prepares the transaction details
3

Review

Full transaction details are displayed for your review
4

Decision

You choose to Confirm or Cancel
5

Execution

Only upon confirmation does the transaction execute
Never confirm a transaction unless you fully understand what it will do. When in doubt, cancel and ask Synap to explain.

Delegation System

Delegation enables Synap to prepare transactions on your behalf without accessing your private keys.

How Delegation Works

What Synap Cannot Do

Cannot execute transactions without your confirmation
Cannot access your private keys
Cannot move funds without approval
Cannot override your cancellation
Cannot trade when delegation is disabled

Best Security Practices

Take time to verify amounts, addresses, and fees before confirming any transaction.
When transferring funds, double-check the recipient address character by character.
If you don’t understand what a transaction will do, ask Synap to explain or cancel.
If you’re just checking prices or market data, you don’t need delegation enabled.

Security Architecture

Key points:
  • Your wallet signs transactions, not Synap
  • Private keys never leave your device
  • Transaction signing happens locally in your browser
